A One-Sided Religious War

by John Waddey(40)

When Muslim zealots living among us don't like the our government, our culture or religion they blow up our airplanes, trains, buses or buildings killing hundreds even thousands. When our people are angered over such atrocities they generally write letters, send emails, verbally express their outrage against the perpetrators. They call for justice or demand that such malcontents and their sympathizers go back to the place of their origin. Our government rushes to protect Muslim schools, mosques and community centers from anyone who might try to damage them.

It is rare to see or hear Muslims who enjoy American citizenship openly declaring their loyalty and support to the nation which is now their home. It is equally rare to see or hear any public condemnation of the extremist groups at work in the name of Islam. Good citizens do not stand by in acquiescing silence while evil people inflict great harm on their nation. Religious leaders who are good citizens do not preach jihad against their fellow-Americans or commend the vicious acts of terrorists who kill and maim others while blowing up themselves in restaurants or on buses.

We are a nation at war against a determined enemy. Most of them are of Middle-Eastern ethnic origin and all of them are Muslim. They love to attack civilian targets filled with noncombatants, women and children. Significant numbers of these enemy troops have infiltrated our nation and are waiting the opportunity to strike. Their goal of our destruction is already announced. Our survival demands that those in our midst who are not loyal to America be identified. Those among us who would attack us must be sought out and rendered incapable of harm. In war, an unreasoning enemy who is determined to kill you, himself must be destroyed. Those whose words and actions provide aid and comfort to the enemy do not deserve the protection our nation and our fighting personnel provide.
