The Unholy War Against Christianity

by John Waddey(40)
firstcenturychristian

The war against Christianity goes on in America. Humanists, secularists, atheist and their sympathizers continue their never ending crusade to destroy every semblance of public recognition of God in the life of the nation. The ultimate goal is to have a nation that is absolutely secular, reflecting only their religious views...the religion of no-god.

First it was prayer and Bible reading in public schools, then it was displays of Christian symbols on public property at holiday seasons. Today it is the recognition of God in our national pledge of allegiance. Tomorrow the war will go on. The ultimate goal is to drive Christians into their church buildings and barricade the doors so their voices will not be heard outside of their enclaves. The danger is that our grandchildren may one day see an American version of the Warsaw Ghetto.

Having captured and wrecked public education, they are now busy revising our nation’s history seeking to eliminate all of those unwelcome references to God in our public documents. The tragedy is that worldly churches, having traded the robust faith and conviction of their fathers for the latest watered down model of pluralism, find themselves unable or unwilling to stand up and lead our citizens in fending off these unwarranted attacks. Our two hundred thirty-four years of history demonstrates that unbelievers have nothing to fear from Christian America. We have gladly tolerated them in our midst and guaranteed their freedom to practice and express their convictions. It is by no means certain that Christians will fare as well should the secularists and atheists ever gain the total control for which they aspire.
