Obama Losing World Wide Gained Ground

by Joel Hendon(178) Red Star

President Obama made a televised plea directed at Iran to, "let's start again" in an effort to improve relationships with that nation and try to end their nuclear ambitions. Although it is reported that President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, looked favorably upon it, his opinion was worthless in the face of the Supreme Leader's rejection of it.

Grand Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the most powerful man in Iran which is an Islamic Republic, has full control of Iran's military and defense. His personal response to Obama's appeal was the he could see no difference in it and past policies.

The Arabic nations were overjoyed that a man, born of a Muslim father and attended a Muslim school registered as a Muslim citizen and with the middle name Hussein, could be elected the president of the United States. Hussein, is a highly respected name in the Islamic world. Many felt that this would end the hostilities between the U.S. and Iran. Many other nations around the globe, were highly optimistic that Obama would be a strong leader in world affairs which the world is so desperately in need of at this time

However, his first 60 days have brought massive disillusionment according to many countries, including much of the Europeans. There has been open criticism of his additional overtures to Iran as appearing weak. Also perhaps the largest disappointment is that of his handling of the present global economy crisis.

Nile Gardiner, director of the conservative Heritage Foundation's Margaret Thatcher Center for Freedom remarked:

"I think as the president heads to Europe, he faces a huge public relations disaster. Europe is increasingly turning against his massive spending plans, which most European leaders see as a destructive way to move forward for the global economy and will only add to a massive American debt burden. At the same time, there is a growing impression across Europe that the Obama administration is inept and inefficient and increasingly poorly managed."

Poland is upset that Obama appears to have given some assurance to Russia that we will not proceed with the anti-missile system in their area for Russia's agreement to assist in the restraining of Iran's nuclear ambition.

Czech Prime Minister Topolanek told the European Parliament that Obama's massive stimulus packages and banking bailouts would undermine the stability of the global financial market.

It is also evident that a number of countries are planning a rebuff towards President Obama, which will probably take place at the G20 summit meeting on April 2. Russia, China, the Czech Republic, France, Germany and Poland have been discussing the elimination of the American Dollar as the base currency for the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

In short, the outlook for the summit meeting of the G20 on April 2 has little chance of successful agreement on methods for resolving the world economy problems. And it is expected that Obama will depart the meeting with far less global respect and cooperation among the other 19. The foreign countries appear to be more critical of the Obama administration's excessive spending than even the U,S. taxpayers.

Great article Joel, and I am in agreement with much of what is written, I do believe what you said in your summary, and that  is "The foreign countries appear to be more critical of the Obama administration's excessive spending than even the U,S. taxpayers", although this is one taxpayer, that is very concern with the "overspending", I guess we have all of this money, as long as there is ink, there is money". Great read, and a good article......This is all still to new for me to judge with conviction....but I am watching my friend , I am watching.......Your fan, and friend in pen.....Gary

Hi Gary, I am also very concerned over our reckless spending, printing money and going in debt. There must be a day of reckoning, soon I fear.
