Where Is the Real Threat To Our Homeland?

Janet Napolitano, Director of our Homeland Security needs new glasses. In a report just issued for law enforcement agencies, she sees a serious threat looming among those Americans who oppose abortion, illegal immigration, amnesty for illegals, weapons restrictions and massive welfare programs. She worries about evangelical churches, and disenchanted veterans being used to threaten society. The following points are notable in her report.

* She has played down the danger of Muslim terrorists. She has ordered that no direct reference be made to them when discussing the problem of terrorists attacks.

* She sees no problem with the twelve million Hispanics that have entered our nation illegally. Since most of them, out of gratitude, will vote Democratic, she has no problem with granting them amnesty and citizenship.

* She rarely mentions the several hundred violent gangs of illegal aliens at work in our nation.

* Her concern is driven by one salient point, " many right-wing extremists are antagonistic toward the new presidential administration and its perceived stance on a range of issues, including immigration and citizenship, the expansion of social programs to minorities, and restrictions on firearms ownership and use. " She is laying the ground work for silencing or discrediting any criticism of Mr. Obama’s administration.

* She is more concerned about blocking Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s enforcement of federal and state immigration laws than she is about Muslim jihadists and hordes of illegal immigrants. Of course, Sheriff Arpaio is her old political nemesis from Arizona.

* She obviously has little respect for the men who are or have courageously defended the nation in the Afghan and Iraq wars. She sees them and their love for the nation as a more likely threat than the million or more Muslims in our country with their madrassa schools and mosques where hatred for America is a common theme.

* Since Ms. Napolitano serves at the pleasure of Mr. Obama, we can only conclude that she is expressing his views of these matters of our homeland security.
