A Christian or An Anti-Christian Nation?

Our president assured Muslims in Turkey that America is not a Christian nation. To please his Muslim audience, he failed to mention the solid Christian base on which our founders built their new nation.

We must concede that today our nation is not as religious as it once was. Materialism and hedonism have been successful in undermining the faith of millions. Secularist in our educational systems, our media and entertainment industries have subverted the faith of multitudes. Secularism’s militant wing, the American Civil Liberties Union and American’s United for the Separation of Church and State, with the full cooperation of our courts, have been able to break down and drive out many public expression of our Christian heritage.

It would have been far more accurate for our president to say that America has an anti-Christian government. Note the following things being proposed or already implemented by our current administration.

* A law striking down all restrictions on abortion, including the grizzly partial birth procedure.

* Restoring of US funding for abortion services through our foreign aid programs.

* Rescinding the " conscience clause " that allowed medical professionals and institutions who could not in good conscience participate in abortion procedures to refuse to do so.

* Opposition to all efforts to make abortion providers give prior notice to the daughters of minor girls before subjecting them to the dangerous abortion procedure.

* Refusal to vigorously prosecute purveyors of pornography.

* Making certain that mention of Jehovah, Jesus and Christianity are kept out of our public educational institutions. Other religions can be discussed, but not those foundational to our society.

* Using the curricula of public schools as a tool to indoctrinate and reshape the value system children have learned at home and at church.

* Lowering the ethical standards expected of public officials.

* Refusal to vigorously oppose proposals to redefine marriage to include homosexual unions.

* Promoting secularism as the operating standard of our government and society.

* Weakening our defenses against Islamic terrorists and promoting the notion that Islam is a peace-loving religion of equal value to our nation as Christianity. This leaves every Christian vulnerable to potential Islamic violence.

* Proposals to lower the amount of tax-deductible contributions an individual can make to churches and other charitable organizations.

* Plans to create laws against hate-speech which is a coded name for laws prohibiting public criticisms of homosexuality. This will include sermons and classes taught by preachers.

* Plans to restore the so-called " fairness doctrine " which is a coded term for controlling talk radio by demanding that station owners must provide a response to any speaker who espouses a view that government censors consider objectionable. This would include religious broadcasting. The results would be to kill such broadcasting, because of the high cost of providing opposing liberal responses.

* The plan to appoint Federal and Supreme Court Judges who will uphold and support the liberal world view and oppose any effort by social conservatives and Christians to defend themselves and our national traditions against the encroachments mentioned above.

* Ongoing efforts to marginalize and discredit the Christian majority of America and limit their input into the public dialog of the nation.

* Promotion of " multiculturalism and pluralism. " These views, taken together teach that all religions are of equal value (all worthless). They also teach that the traditional Christian-based culture of our nation is in no way superior to that of France, China, Cuba, or some primitive, pagan society.

All of the above items make it very clear that we

are Christians living under an anti-Christian administration .
