The Hate America Game

This week our new President sat in cowed silence while the Communist dictators of Venezuela and Nicaragua poured out their hatred for America. In Switzerland the tyrant of Iran did the same thing. We have come to expect such vituperation from third world thugs, but the phenomena reaches beyond them. In his book, Hating America, the New World Sport, John Gibson documents the simmering anti-American hatred in France, Britain, Germany, Belgium, South Korea and Canada. This hatred is not limited to the rabble in the streets, it is often government policy. Of course there are the Arab and Muslim nations who compete with them for hatred of our nation. At the United Nations, which we largely fund, anti-American displays are common sport. Much of this hatred reflects envy and jealousy of our prosperity, independence and might.

The marvel is that all of these nations whose anti-American venom is perpetual have received tremendous benefits from America. We broke the back of Germany in the First World War. All of the British and European nations would have been swallowed up by Hitler’s Germany had we not intervened. For fifty years America kept Russia from devouring Western Europe. South Korea would today be bowing to the tyrant of North Korea, except for America. Canada’s economy is dependent on America. She looks to us for her national defense. We have fought wars to liberate oppressed Muslim nations and to protect them from their enemies. Our foreign aid has fed millions of them and our economy’s need for their oil has provided much of their revenue.

There is another group of America haters that must not be overlooked. They live in our midst and enjoy our citizenship, yet they hate their homeland and see nothing good in her. These are generally found in the far Left of the political spectrum. Many of them have learned it while attending our colleges and universities where Marxist professors teach them to hate America. Often they are children of privilege who can live comfortably without labor. In their idleness they spew hatred and try to disrupt life in America.

How should the world’s lone super power respond? When a nation displays anti-Americanism in its policy, we should bring our troops home and close our bases. Let them feel the loss to their economy. We should shut off all foreign aid and military assistance. We should let them deal with their natural disasters and rebuild their ruined cities. Shut down all trade imports that exceed our exports to that nation. No more special scholarships to the students of those nations who want to study in our schools. Serve notice, that they will have to make arrangements for their own national defense until such time as their respect for America returns.

Cut off our funding of the UN. We are financing a hate America campaign in that failed organization.

Here at home, any school harboring anti-American professors should not receive government funding. If they want to have such faculty, let them pay for it themselves. Students who pursue a hate America career should not be eligible for any government assistance or scholarships. Anti-American professors and scientists should not expect a penny of government grant money for their projects.

Why should we, the tax-paying citizens, provide the funds for those who hate us and would like to see our nation destroyed? The ungrateful child gets written out of daddy’s will. Ungrateful citizens and neighbors deserve no better!

Pure, unadulterated fascism. "... any school harboring anti-American professors should not receive government funding." Yeah, and who is going to decide what is anti-American (if such a thing exists other than in the feverish mind of the extreme right wing), you? the Gestapo? You are promoting censorship and McCarthyism. I think you're about 50 to 70 years late.
