The liberal left has always used as one of their biggest complaints towards the GOP, their reluctance to tax the rich. They claim that Republicans are puppets of big business and the wealthy of this nation. This, along with their high pressured fallacious assertion that the Republicans are racists and against the poor of this nation, have been exaggerated so much for so long, many have come to accept it as fact. Let's examine these things briefly to see just how accurate they are.
It is no secret who some of the ones were those who sank millions into the race in an attempt to defeat George W. Bush in 2000 and more so in 2004. The ultra liberal group involved in the "Moveon.org" with multi billionaire, George Soros and several other very wealthy people with their other groups in various states threw their weight into the presidential and senatorial campaigns, the power shift was made with money, big money. Not only are these people liberal but are supporters of those things that are so repugnant to Christians, moderates and conservatives.
This article is not intended to castigate one person but I want to concentrate on George Soros as an example of those who are instrumental in the efforts to destroy the traditional way of life in these United States. Below you will see some of the quotes this man has made, but not nearly all. These tell you what he thinks of our constitution, our traditions and our moral values.
"The war on terror cannot be won." (Wall Street Journal (8-15-06)
"The United States is the main ‘obstacle' to a just and stable world." (Newsweek 6-29-06
"American troops are ‘perpetrators and oppressors'. (Associated Press 5-17-04)
"I'm having a very good crisis." (Daily Mail 3-29-09)
And the most meaningful one: "The economic collapse is the culminating point of my life's work." (Daily Mail 3-25-09)
After their Moveon.org ran an ad questioning the credibility of General David Petraeus in mid-September, 2007, the Senate voted 72 to 25 condemning the ad. Senators Chris Dodd and Hillary Clinton voted against the measure while the then Senators, Barack Obama and Joe Biden did what they do so well, they did not vote.(Info taken from CNN Political Ticker 09/20/2007) This ad referred to the good General as General "Be tray us"
George Soros, the prime financial supporter of this liberal extremist group MoveOn.org, made the remark that the current global economic mess has been "stimulating"
Read these quotes following:
(Adam C. Smith, "Unshaven, Unbowed And In Our Face," St. Petersburg Times, February 18, 2005)
"MoveOn.org E-Mail Claims It Bought And Owns The Democrat Party: "Now It's Our Party: We Bought It, We Own It, And We're Going To Take It Back."
"MoveOn has received financial support from numerous leftist organizations, including the theTides Foundation, the Shefa Fund, the Stern Family Fund, the Steven and Michelle Kirsch Foundation, the Compton Foundation and George Soros's Open Society Institute Following a September 17, 2003 meeting between Soros and Boyd in New York, Soros and his associates gave nearly $6.2 million to MoveOn over a period of six months. The contributions included $2.5 million from George Soros personally; $2.5 million from Open Society Institute Following a September 17, 2003 meeting between Soros and Boyd in New York, Soros and his associates gave nearly $6.2 million to MoveOn over a period of six months. Here is also a quote from Mitt Romney which occurred shortly after the notorious ad (above) ran.
- Gov. Mitt Romney (MSNBC's "Morning Joe," 9/14/07)
"And I frankly don't understand why Hillary Clinton hasn't repudiated MoveOn.org at this point. And I'm afraid the truth is that MoveOn.org has purchased the Democratic Party, if you will. That it's funding, and the status of this 527, and the voice it has in the Democratic Party is so powerful that it's now calling the shots. And that Hillary Clinton, and Barack Obama and John Edwards are afraid to repudiate an ad and an organization which has taken a disgusting course against a great American."
There are many other evidences that MoveOn has an abnormal and frightful amount of clout with a number of those people in this administration as well as congress. The last thing we need is George Soros' influence running our country. They are also spreading their influence into many states with propaganda concerning the merits of the Democratic Senators and also starting groups for working voter drives for their chosen candidates of the future. The highly controversial ACORN group which is now receiving taxpayers money in support is also reported to possibly be involved in their work.
