The Torture Debate

The terrorists and their liberal American and European sympathizers have successfully redefined torture to include anything that causes an evil detainee discomfort. Has any Muslim terrorist suffered what John McCain suffered? No! Have any of them suffered the treatment the Japanese gave their victims in WWII? Have any of them been subject to the treatment Saddam gave his prisoners? With 90 % percent of our national media shouting " torture, " efforts by the military and the Bush administration to explain that their enhanced interrogations were not torture were shouted down. So the terrorists have won another round in their war against us.

This discussion is not about winning a war or about ethical treatment of prisoners. It is a political " gottya " attack against the Republican (conservative) administration of Bush and Cheney. The liberal Democrats and their cheer leaders in the Media are trying to advance their cause, to present themselves as the more righteous rulers than the opposition party. Far too many Americans, like fish, have swallowed the deceitful bait.
