House Passage Of American Clean Energy and Security Act

by Joel Hendon(756) Blue Star

The U.S. House of Representatives took another giant step toward destruction of this nation yesterday (June 26, 2009) by passing the "American Clean Energy and Security Act. It should have been thrown in the garbage or flushed down the toilet instead. Let us pray that there are more thoughtful and level headed members of the Senate that will cut this bill into squares and put it to good use in the bathrooms.

This is the bill which includes the infamous and death dealing "Cap and Trade" provision for reducing carbon emissions into the atmosphere. If you are not familiar with the "Cap and Trade" system, you need to find out. But I wish at this time to enter another facet here.

This bill passed under the urging of Nancy (the mouth) Pelosi whose brain was never large and is now shriveled into a raisin sized chancre. The final vote was as follows: Ayes=219, Noes=212, not voting=3.

44 Democrats balked at her rhetoric and voted no while 8 Republicans who knew better, voted for it. Now take a look at that. If those 8 Republicans had stuck with what they know is right, the bill would have failed. This was rammed through in order to please the messiah and the "mouth". The OpenCongress.org website has run a brief online poll on this bill HR2454, and the results so far show 100-Yes to 739-No. The ramifications of this bill are such that only the blind cannot see them.

If, for instance, the Senate were to pass this bill without drastically changing it into near total impotence, here is what you can not only expect, but depend upon. Within six months after implementation of this bill, gasoline will exceed $5.00 per gallon (how much more, is anyone's guess), Coal will double or triple in price with the penalties placed upon it, electricity...as a result, will skyrocket as will all other types of conventional energy sources. From that, transportation charges will double or triple, resulting in foodstuff and almost everything else going through the roof.

Beside all of this unacceptable instant inflation, jobs will vanish, many forever by companies who will be moving to countries not so hampered. I have written to this before, but it now is extremely imminent. I urge my readers, not only to check this out but to encourage others to do likewise. I list below a link which will take you to a printout of all who voted for this bill as well as those who sensibly voted against it. Contact your representative if he/she voted for this bill and let them know that if it backfires, which it will, that you will remember them in the next election. Also contact your senators as soon as possible and advise them that this bill is unacceptable.       http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2009/roll477.xml
