The Danger of Unrestricted Power

Mr. Obama holds the presidency and controls the Democrat Party. The Democrat Party now controls the House and Senate, hence the Federal government is firmly under their control. The majority of the nation’s news media is at their beck and call. The government now has a controlling interest in our largest insurance provider, our major financial institutions, our two largest manufacturing companies. They have recently extended their control over the tobacco industry and are in the process of exerting control over our energy industry and our health care industry. Our president has just appointed a salary czar to control what executives in certain industries can be paid. With complete control of our national government, Mr. Obama and his congressional allies have the power to spend and tax us as they please and it seems certain they will use that power. The unrestricted power to tax is the power to destroy. With the Department of Education, federal funding and the fawning Education Unions, our president has vast control over our nation’s educational systems.
With the election of Mr. Obama and the capture of both Houses of Congress, Democrat Congressman, Jose Serrano of NY introduced a bill to repeal the 22 nd Amendment which limits the president to two consecutive terms of office. With a super majority in both Houses, there is no blocking or stopping this determined grab for ultimate power.
If the above is their catch after just six months in office, what will it be after four years or even eight years? The land will still be here, the population will be here, but the personal and democratic freedoms, the prosperity, the traditional American values, our free enterprise system might well be swept away. The neighborhood organizer from Chicago is truly a man of audacious aspirations.
