I‘ve noticed the lack of things being done in Washington that are worthwhile and I start thinking, is there absolutely no intelligence in our present majority government? Then on an occasion, I hear of something fairly intelligent coming from one of them, only to have it blow up. I wrote an article before the election concerning those who were financially backing Obama, but I did not know then that it would become so serious. It has.
I read an article from an investor, Who made some remarks which I have felt myself. He said thre are no policies this administration has implemented which are friendly for business. He said his own company was a 30 year old business which had 65 employees but were now down to 25. Imagine, a company which took 30 years to build and 12 months to destroy.
This rant is just about on target. And the point is, these people cannot be so naive that they get nothing correct. Then I read another article and it brought back to me the reasons for it all. This in the Washington Post article of July 9, entitled "Senate Democrats Still Seeking GOP Support":
"When it comes to health care, energy and the economy, Democrats have no excuses not to deliver on the changes that voters wanted last November," said Justin Ruben, executive director of the liberal group MoveOn.org. "On health care and on energy . . . you have conservative Democrats saying we have to compromise. That dynamic has just changed. Really they don't" have to compromise.
MoveOn blasted White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel this week after he suggested in an interview that Democrats could compromise on a government alternative to private health insurance companies and accept a weakened version of a public option plan. MoveOn urged its members to call the White House and express their anger at Emanuel.
So it is now apparent that those who supported this administration so heavily in the 2008 campaign are the ones who are keeping the pressure on the entire Democratic Party to produce regardless of what harm may come of it. The ruthless George Soros, who has devoted his life to the fall of the American way is the prime mover of MoveOn.org. This ultra liberal group as well as the UAW and other groups who are now wanting payback are keeping anything good from being undertaken.
It is shameful that our country has no strict rules concerning organizations such as MoveOn and other highly financed organizations which can place so much pressure on our government as to invalidate their intelligent legislation
