Few Leaders Many Followers.
by straight talk(76)It seems that after a few years of life and yes of writing my understanding of mankind is that there are few who actually lead others and many who just are content to follow. Yes, even with all of our so called intelligence, education, enlightenment sadly there are few who lead, or for that matter can. Now one will get the argument that not everyone can lead. The point here is that someone, even among all leaders, must be designated as in charge. However, that aside I am talking capability, desire, ability. No not mere words or talk or speech the ability to lead others.
So it is with any aspect of the world. We, the people either elect our leaders, or our leaders seize power and take control. It matters not what the method or how, once in charge the people, the vast majority, follow. That is everyone but the maverick, the one who has that inner ability, desire, is motivated to not accept what is, but seeks change or yes more, and power.
The rest, well whiners, complainers, gripers but above all else followers. So as we look at the world, its people, the nations, those aspects of every society created by man we see the same. It is repeated over and over again and the circumstances are always the same. In fact where there are no leaders there is chaos, failure, upheaval, distress is evident. Does this sound familiar?
However, in this day and age it seems we have fewer people who can actually lead. Now once again let's not mix education or intelligence with leadership. Leadership is the ability to take control and achieve by guiding others to a successful conclusion. If one puts a group of leaders in the room and no one rises to the occasion or is appointed leader then nothing will be solved. Hence Mac Arthur's "Councils of war breed timidity and fear."
So here we are in a world of enlightenment, where supposedly mankind has achieved a higher standard of living, education, knowledge then at any other time in history and what do we find? Ok, lets name a few, famine, sickness and disease, war, financial hardships, drug abuse, divorce, adultery, lack of faith, lack of commitment or taking hold of responsibility, more people in poverty then ever before and not because there are more people but by percentage, etc, etc, etc.
So one might ask where the leaders of today are. Sadly, in my opinion there are few to none. You may present your candidates and argue but frankly they, when truth is applied to their record, their works, what they have done and failed to do, have produced nothing, nada, zilch, except for themselves and their kind. Yes, and now we know why they consider us BOVINE and worker beasts. Oh, you don't like that, well sadly fact like it or not. It is all of what I stated and more. Yes and that worker beast will work and work even when you cut their existence down to nothing because well, they know nothing better. They will work until they drop. Yes and if you give them a few drops of water and some food they will get up thank you and work even harder.
So when we talk of a New World where everyone is a brother, equality and justice, fair play, mercy, compassion and yes love of neighbor and nations interact for the good of all we better wake up. We can't even achieve this among our very own families and we expect that from the world. I'm sorry, but until we, that is correct, we demand the attributes that are or I should say were or used to be recognized and associated with leadership, honor, integrity, honesty, courage, loyalty, intelligence, common sense and wisdom and a higher belief and all that was once considered attributes, please don't look for any recovery, or a world system that will accomplish what I just wrote we hope for. No that will only come from divine intervention. It is quite obvious to many, yet they sit with a finger somewhere and grumble, why, well sadly there is only one word that fits and while not trying to be rude but MOO.
Can we do it, no question we can but not until change comes or a world dictator. I am more inclined to select the latter and coming soon to a neighborhood near you.

Hello Robert, and yes, once again you have hit the nail right on the head. I a lot of ways, you and Lee Iacocca write about the same things, and are very close in beliefs. I too am one of these believers. Its the very good expression, "Where Have All The Leaders Gone" that is very expressed very well in in your opinions and views, and very well said indeed. Am I am a believer in what you wrote about it. This article is expressing exactly the way I think as well, I only hope that I get to see more leaders emerge from the multitudes of people before I die, then I would at least be laid to rest knowing that perhaps my children will have some sort of a chance too lead prosperous normal lives, and will be able to fend for their own families! I'm not sure though, only time will tell that. I know one thing, that I am not really pleased at the way the people of America cower to these so called corporate monsters/gangsters, and the same on capital hill. I fear that our democracy is dying, and I am really upset about it. I loved your article, thank you for writing it, and expressing it...well done, your fan and friend Gary W. Halsey Sr.

In the heritage of your name you find your family values, duty, honor, country, God and family. That is why we are so upset with the direction of this nation. Now Gary, you may find this hard for me to be telling you this but I do believe there is a divine reason, purpose and plan which impacts us. That effort I have made since leaving searchwarp. As sad as it is our nation has crossed over never to return to what we once were. In my two Disney article I spell out what has taken place for those who understand. Now many have asked me to run for office. However, remember this that the powerful who run the show and control all can never allow anyone to disrupt their agenda. They tolerate the minor articles and writers for they cannot change destiny. They are correct, the only problem is they are blinded as to what that destiny is. I do hope you take a visit and review some of my work on the other site. I do feel you will look at things in a much different perspective and it will perhaps open your eyes to why I am writing to this. It is up to us to insure ours , that little guy, are taken care of, safe, secure and free, whatever that takes. I just recently purchased a gun. The first time my wife and I did that. The reason, times are not going to get better and we all must be prepared. Leaders Gary recognize reality, and plot a course of action that is not only feasible but attainable based on facts and real information, truth, not pie in the sky utopia sold to the masses for the benefit of the few.
