Healthcare Reform, The Administration’s Dilemma

The latest Rasmussen poll shows that 42% of voters approve of the healthcare plan being proffered by the Obama administration, while 53% are opposed to it. Many of the 53% are speaking out against it and since they are Nancy Pelosi’s “un-Americans”, “Astroturf” and other administration leaders “terrorists“, ignoramuses”, who don’t know what the bill says and so on. That bunch of ignoramuses are capable of electing a president. I would advise all those who are so hateful about those who are speaking out, to consider the elections coming up in 2010 and 2012. 

In eight months, this administration has ignored voices of reason and rammed through bills sufficient to sink this nation without allowing dissenters to even express their thoughts. They have added more to our national indebtedness than all other administrations combined. They are now crowing that the economy is leveling off and looking encouraging. Notwithstanding, it would have corrected itself, had the government stayed out it. Probably sooner and better, and certainly with less taxpayer expense. Almost every action the administration has taken has caused their approval rating to drop.

There are few reasons that could possibly cause elected officials to be so aggressive as to override their constituents so heavy handedly. I have heard legislators remark even after a trying bout with a “town hall” episode, that it did not matter to him, he would do his part to see that the bill is passed one way or another. I heard another legislator tell one dissenter, that he had read the entire bill. I chalk that up to simply being  another political liar. I believe very, very few legislators, or others, have read the entire bill. I read a lot, and I have read many pages of this bill in question and yet, I have not read even half yet.

President Obama stands before his hand picked audience and says that anyone who has private insurance and likes it, can keep it. He knows full well that he is not speaking the truth. My wife and I are living on Social Security. We have Medicare and have opted to use a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO), wherein they, in cooperation with Medicare, are paid the normal rates of coverage by Medicare and then cover the insured with their plan. It is relatively costly when you consider the amount paid to Medicare and then the fee to the insurer, but it is great coverage and worth the cost.

The president knows full well that I will not be able to keep the present benefits. The full intent of this bill is to reduce Medicare and Medicaid to levels completely unacceptable and inadequate. I realize that the elderly health expenses are huge. But this is what Social Security and Medicare are about. Most of us have paid into this fund for almost 50 years. But with this healthcare reform program, illegal aliens will have better coverage and benefits than the elderly, while having not paid one cent into it. There seems to be little justice in this. And it is not just because I’m in the targeted category, every younger person is headed into my situation in years to come.                                                                          
The administration and majority party in congress seem determined to push their wishes through, regardless of the opinion of the people. This entire rush to take over the banking industry, the automobile industry and the health industry, has nothing to do with trying to get the economy going. It is simply a drive for complete socialism and is being done under pressure from George Soros and the MoveOn.org group. George Soros is an admitted socialist and has spent millions to bring this nation down

The government intervention into the Bureau of Census (coupled with federal funds to support the ultra liberal ACORN organization whose reputation for fraudulent voter registration and intimidation is no secret) is their answer to a dissatisfied constituency. If they can get their basic programs into place this year, the next 3 years can be devoted to manipulating voting districts and providing any other type methods,  to perpetuate the present governing body.
