Entering The “Little Ice Age”

How people with PhD’s and former vice presidents can profess to be intelligent in the face of pulling off a “Chicken Little” scheme concerning global warming, I’ve never been able to determine. I wrote my first article opposing this fear-mongering (to use the Democrats’ favorite phrase) on October 15, 2007, almost two years ago.
Dr. William “Bill” Gray, noted forecaster of hurricanes with a PhD in geophysical sciences gave the following information before I wrote my article mentioned above. This is recorded in Wikipedia.
Gray is skeptical of current theories of human-induced global warming, which he says is supported by scientists afraid of losing grant funding and promoted by government leaders and environmentalists seeking world government He believes that humans are not responsible for the warming of the earth and has stated that "We're brainwashing our children." He asked, "How can we trust climate forecasts 50 and 100 years into the future (that can’t be verified in our lifetime) when they are not able to make shorter seasonal or yearly forecasts that could be verified?"
Gray said those who had linked global warming to the increased number of hurricanes in recent years were in error. He cites statistics showing that there were 101 hurricanes from 1900 to 1949, in a period of cooler global temperature, compared to 83 from 1957 to 2006 when the earth warmed.
Gray does not say there has not been any warming, but states "I don't question that. And humans might have caused a very slight amount of this warming. Very slight. But this warming trend is not going to keep on going. My belief is that three, four years from now, the globe will start to cool again, as it did from the middle '40s to the middle '70s."
Now, Dr. Gray made these statements in 2005 to 2006. He also bemoans the fact that so many of his colleagues promote the totally unfounded theory that it is man made. And he credits it with the fact that they receive huge grants to continue to perpetuate the farce. Keep in mind what he said, especially in his last sentence above. It is a known fact that the earth’s atmosphere, has on five occasions in the past 3,000 years, reached a higher temperature than it is at this time. Read the following which confirms the last statement:
“The temperature of the atmosphere fluctuates over a wide range, the result of solar activity and other influences. During the past 3,000 years, there have been five extended periods when it was distinctly warmer than today. One of the two coldest periods, known as the Little Ice Age, occurred 300 years ago. Atmospheric temperatures have been rising from that low for the past 300 years, but remain below the 3,000-year average.”
“The debate over how much to cut emissions has at times been heated--but the entire enterprise is futile or worse. For there is not a shred of persuasive evidence that humans have been responsible for increasing global temperatures. Now, having shown the thoughts of reputable scientists a few years back let’s fast forward to the present. A great number of scientists have abandoned the farce of man-made global warming. The Global Warming Petition Project has signatures of 31,478 American scientists who do not subscribe to the “man-made” global warming scam, 9,029 of which are PhD’s. But to really show the fallacy of their persistence not to issue a disclaimer on this unfounded hypothesis, we have the following facts. The warming trend peaked in 1998! Two or three years after Dr. Gray’s prediction was made. It has steadily declined now for the past eleven years! Yet the lovers of grants and the intellect of Al Gore‘s hysteria, refuses to consider that as significant. Now, read this:
It's a good time to be a polar bear. Unusually cool temperatures in the northern climes last winter produced thicker-than-usual polar ice. This gave the lucky bears an extra two weeks to roam the ice floes to hunt ringed seals. As a result, adult bears are better fed and more cubs are surviving their first year. The bears will go into the winter with greater energy stores, which will mean a better chance of survival and even more cubs. This might not be so serious a problem if it wasn’t for the fact that because of this wild Chicken Little hysteria, the U.S. Government, and most of the other world governments are about to spend trillions of dollars (which they don’t have) to fight this “catastrophic man made” fluke. Our own government is about to propose a gigantic “Cap and Trade” bill which will send fuel prices and many other incidental costs, through the roof. All the while we should be looking for ways to lower the costs of fuel in anticipation of the “Little Ice Age”.
