Nancy Pelosi is perhaps the dirtiest “most powerful woman in the world” that has been since biblical times. Jezebel was possibly worse, but Nancy isn’t far behind. She has the mind and temperament of a child. No one should ever forget the evening when she had the lights turned out in the House chamber to keep the republicans from staying and discussing the highly controversial stimulus bill. She has also disallowed discussion on several bills, plus putting them on the floor for vote without allowing time for the legislators to read them. No matter what she thinks she is, she is a dirty politician. Some of these bills, she has not read herself.
Her tactics resonate throughout the democratic administration. The present bill produced by Max Baucus, is little different than the original bill but is not being released to the other lawmakers until it comes up for a vote. Anyone is a fool who will vote for a bill they have no idea what it contains. I hope the Senate and members of the House have more decency and integrity than that.
On Wednesday, the Republicans of the Senate Finance Committee proposed an amendment to the health care proposal of Max Baucus, that there be a requirement of a three day waiting period between the completion of the bill and when it was brought to a vote. The Democrats killed that amendment. The administration does not want the contents to be read and publicized. They know their chances of ramming another pile of manure through is better if people don’t know what it contains. What other possible reason would they have to reject such an amendment? It matters not who is doing such things, it shows a lack of respect for any other than their co-conspirators. The American voters should remember those who are guilty of such when they are up for re-election.
In the House of Representatives, Republicans have introduced a measure requiring a minimum of 72 hours between the time any non-emergency bill is introduced before bringing it to a vote. You can rest assured that Nancy will not tolerate that. She promised a 48 hour waiting period before voting on the $787 billion stimulus bill. She reneged on that promise and rammed it through. That is sorry! Dirty! She needs to be taken down from her high horse as the Speaker. And she is the one who, teary-eyed says she thinks people ought to tone down their harsh rhetoric. The Republican measure will no doubt be voted down.
Unless you are an unethical, immoral and sorry person, and think your legislators should be such, vote these sleaze balls out of office next go round. And I urge everyone to contact their congressmen and demand they vote against this secret healthcare bill which will nationalize as much as ten percent of the nation’s economy. Read this blurb:
When major legislation is completed, it is the result of negotiations that can be years in the making, with many last-minute changes. Hundreds of pages can get jammed into bills in the middle of the night with only a few staffers knowing what's in them. Having a few days to digest the information should be mandatory.
The president and the Democratic majority in Congress have put their prestige on the line with the government health care proposals. Back in 2004, then-Sen. Barack Obama complained about the federal budget and the Patriot Act not being read before passage. That's an inconvenient truth for the president now that he is in charge and his party can benefit from laws being passed unseen. (No, you can’t read the legislation- Editorial Washingtontimes.com-September 25,2009)

How can anyone, in good conscience, vote for something or against it when they haven't read it yet? I guess that becomes the question "in good conscience" Scary times we live in - thanks so much for doing your part in keeping us informed in a balanced way. Thanks for reading and the kind words, Marijo. I really appreciate that. Is the J in your name pronounced as an H, or a Y? Or is it pronounced as a J?
